About MirrorHub
MirrorHub Ltd operates a network of repository mirrors and a delivery layer for private software artifacts. Our customers are build systems: the machines that pull operating-system images, language toolchains and dependencies thousands of times a day.
What we do
Modern software is assembled from thousands of upstream components. Every build fetches them again, and every fetch crosses the public internet unless somebody keeps a copy nearby. We keep that copy nearby — on hardware connected directly to the exchanges where the upstream projects themselves connect.
We mirror the open-source supply chain (Linux distributions and their security archives, language package registries, container registries, build-tool distributions) and make it available both to the public, at no cost, and to companies that need their own access-controlled namespaces for internal artifacts.
Infrastructure
All production capacity runs in carrier-neutral data centres with direct exchange access. Our primary facility is in Frankfurt am Main, Germany — the largest internet exchange location in the world by traffic volume, and the natural home for a service whose whole value is proximity to upstream content.
Primary site — Frankfurt
- Carrier-neutral colocation, Frankfurt am Main, DE
- Two independent power feeds, N+1 UPS, diesel-backed generators
- Redundant 100 Gbit/s uplinks to two distinct carriers plus DE-CIX
- All-flash serving tier with NVMe-backed cache
Additional nodes
- Amsterdam (AMS-IX), Warsaw (TPIX), Stockholm (Netnod)
- Each node serves the full catalogue; none is authoritative
- Replication between nodes is on-net and off the public path
- Failed nodes are removed from DNS within 60 seconds
Peering and network
MirrorHub announces its own address space and peers openly. We are present at DE-CIX Frankfurt — where we carry the bulk of our traffic — as well as AMS-IX, Netnod and TPIX.

The service is deliberately bandwidth-intensive: that is what a mirror is. The numbers below are representative of a normal month.
